Holland America Zuiderdam

Has anyone taken a 7 or 8 year old on Holland America and if so... how do you rate the kids program.

 

My son likes arts and crafts, science projects, talent shows, etc. Would he enjoy Holland America Zuiderdam?

I haven't sailed on HAL yet (will be doing so at Christmas) but from what I hear the kids club is great for 3-10 year olds but after that the kids can sometimes get a bit bored.

We are sailing on this ship 08 Dec with two 13 year olds and an almost eight year old. We chose HAL because it seemed a good compromise for all of us. I can't believe that with beaches and a pool and "free" ice cream, that they will come home with any complaints.

 

I will post back how we found the children's program. I note most reviews never mention anything about it!

My family just got back 11/3 and the girls, ages 4,6,7 had a great time! The staff in Club HAL and on the ship in general were very attentive and they received so much attention. They participated in many activities such as crafts, trips to the sports deck, pizza parties, etc.

This was their 4th cruise and their favorite so far. I would sail HAL again but would be hesitant when the girls are older. The teens onboard looked bored and in general there are not alot of activities for anyone offerred.

So glad to hear this because we are booked on the July 7th sailing. Can't wait!
