Have a helicopter drop over the ship tomorrow in Barcelona with those supplies!;)

Kinda makes we want to put a 'survival kit' list in place for my next cruise. Just for protection. I never thought to leave all this stuff behind I wasn't going to need, shame on me anyways. :( I had put them all in the bus bathroom for the trip to Cairo and then removed them afterwards. I had a fog going in there spraying everything down with the lysol. It would have saved me trying to find room in the luggage for them for the trip home.

Will make that International call to arrange for a small parachute drop over the aft deck tomorrow in the early AM with your box of survival gear. ;) ;)

Let's just keep hoping that this outbreak is contained very quickly. If it's as bad as you say, I think I would be requesting lots of movies delivered from the DVD library and just vegging out in my suite for a few days. ARGH!

In Suite Dinning looks like a plan tonight for me!...about the movies....I've seen most of them on that list so in the drop get some recent flicks as well (chick flicks are alright as well under these desperate circumstances)

I've been having second thoughts about the price, but this makes me glad we upgraded to a suite for our Alaskan cruise on the Star in May. A better room service menu, and larger balcony just in case we end up "confined".

Sounds like money well spent to me -- especially for Alaska!!

I can't wait to do that cruise but it will probably have to be when we're living back in the good ol' US of A!

We are just leaving Cannes and the Captain came on the PA to address everyone about the Noro situation onboard and pleaded for everyones cooperation in sanitizing and keeping the best personal hygiene since this needs to be contained quickly as we have (or they not me) 6 consecutive days at sea on the way to Fort Lauderdale after Madeira.

The sea tonight is suppose to be rough as we transit the Bay of Lyon onto Barcelona tomorrow....then again this guy is afraid of his own shadow so let's see how rough it gets tonight!

Stay tuned.....

Boy, it sounds like you guys are having one "interesting" cruise.

In summer of '06 we sailed from Barcelona to south of France on RCI, and believe me, the crossing of the Bay of Leon was very rough. Probably only "beat" by Hurricane Otis off Mexico back in '05! Hope your crossing tonite is not too bad.

Not sure your plans in Barcelona. We LOVED it! We strolled the Las Ramblas (the main street) and really liked visiting all the Guadi places, such as Segrada Familla and La Padrera (we were there several days, not just a day stop.) If you don't have a tour, you can just take the hop on hop off bus that you get at Pl Catalunya, just at the top end of Las Ramblas. It will take you to both La Padrera and Segrada Familla.

Have a great visit! Hope the NORO gets contained soon!

Cookiersmom...I've been to Barcelona countless times myself and I have plans only to go ashore for a nice lunch and plnty of local sangria!

Yes very "interesting" cruise this is turning out to be...I really miss the "gang" from last cruise on here!:(

I hate to sound pessimistic, but it sounds like the perfect scenario for a bad Noro epidemic to me. Six sea days in the winter and you're already a code red.

I've got an idea. If they want to be "clean" for the inspection in Fort Lauderdale, maybe they should just remove all the hand sanitizer and add in a few social events like bobbing for apples and playing spin the bottle. You probably have time for the whole ship to come down with it and then recover by the time you reach Florida!! LOL

(Sorry. Don't really mean to sound insensitive. I know how nasty it is and I'd never wish it on anyone! I just got those creative juices flowing and that was the only "solution" I came up with. Hopefully Princess will do a better job with it than I!!)

Actually all kidding aside...CDC rukles stipulate that if 30% or more of the paxs onboard have it we cannot enter US waters...so they would have to get it under control and fast!

Even the Spa can't have any pamplets out or samples, and the Casino must wash down the chips every two hours; the shops can't have any testers out for cologne or perfume and they cannot vaccum in pax areas either as this stirs up the bacteria....what a great place to be right now isn't it?

Ooops false alarm!...we have a tender that is still in the water and is trying to catch up to us...we actually haven't sailed yet and it's over an hour late of schedule!

No annoucement from the captain or anything?...how strange is that?

Going to go for dinner now and see what happens to us next tonight?

Stay tunned....

Hi UpgradeMan,

Sounds like a bit of a challenge onboard right now. Princess usually has some good fiction in the library. I guess I'd spray it first then wash fairly regularly while reading. Sometimes just hunkering down with a good book is comforting and passes the time. Some decent room service wouldn't hurt either.

I guess that the purpose of so much going wrong is to make cruises that go well seem perfect!

It's sleeting here...........I'll be thinking of you.

Mama Mia!!! this tin can is being bounced around a lot tonight like you guys can't believe...so bad it's hard to TYPE!

The ship is like a graveyard with everyone but ME in BED!

Anyways, we have 40ft swells tonight and as high as deck 5 Plaza Deck crashing against the windows.

Noro still strong and the "trofth" is being policed for violators that don't sanitize before entering the line.

Stay tuned for more.....

It's starting to sound like "the cruise from hell" as far as I'm concerned! People aren't going to know if they're vomiting from Noro or seasickness! Yuck!

Hang in there!!

UpgradeMan it doesn't sound like you're having a lot of fun tonight. Take a look at this -- I hope it will make you smile! (Be sure the sound is on.)

I think some of us can relate to this. I know I can!:

Love it, Vicki. Don't think they will appreciate it on the ship w/o sound.

Hang in there UpgradeMan. Somehow a chickflick does not seem to fit your style. :p

You could always take a taxi ride around Barcelona to bring back some fond memories. Just make sure you say" rapido" to the driver ! ;)

Sangria just what the doctor ordered.:D

Please keep us up-to-date on the situation and I hope there is an improvement very soon.

I was wondering about that as I posted it. I thought, hmmm, I don't really remember hearing anything in the internet cafe. Least of all, "You've got mail." LOL. I guess I'm not very observant. (Actually I've known that for a long time.) Oops! Sorry about that UpgradeMan.
