Because I don't think they are incorrect. If you think a bunch of 18 year olds are going to cruise without overdrinking, you live in a dream world. Sorry, been there, done that, myself and my own once 18 year old children.

 

You obviously have a very one-sided experience. I have an opposite experience with 18 year olds - they're responsible, fun, well-behaved, have wonderful manners and know what is acceptable & what isn't.

 

I only wish more over 18 yr. olds would have the manners that the 18 yr. olds do that I know.

On the contrary, I have had wonderful experiences with the 18 year old crowd, however, statistics don't prove that to be the norm. If it were, 18 year olds would be permitted to book any hotel or cruise ship they wanted.

I have a nineteen year old daughter and there is no way that I would allow her to cruise at that age without some parental authority. I do not think their judgement is mature enough. As I have stated before, I know that she can go fight for her country at eighteen but even then her mama will be by her side.
