21 Days with Kids!

Need some help from you seasoned cruisers!

We're looking at cruise N843 - which is on the Sun for 21 days to Sydney, Melbourne, Tasmania and New Zealand. Departs November 29 (which is the weekend after our kids finish school - but before the main school holidays).

Has anyone sailed for any length of time with children??? There's some great stops on the cruise - and we've been promising to take them to New Zealand! But ... it is a long time away and living in close quarters!

Any thoughts, hints, suggestions???:)

BTW - the kids will be aged 8 & 11 by then.

It might be better than 21 days in a campervan driving around New Zealand. The living space would be much the same but you would have to drive, cook, clean, wash, look at maps, deal with wet weather etc. Been there, done that. :)

New Zealand is stunningly beautiful.

At least on a cruise they won't be saying "are we there yet?" :p

Good point Brushtail ... we cope with three weeks in our caravan at the beach!

We showed the kids the itinerary last night and they were excited ... our 10year old son said that 21 days was a long time - but he's really wants to go to Sydney (he was born there - but we left when he was still a baby - he's only been back twice and can't remember too much!

We're going to sit on it until after the weekend!
