Travelers Checks

Is it possible to cash out travelers checks while on board, to get cash to pay for an excursion? Where would we be able to accomplish this?

(Please don't answer with a response about getting cash in the casino -- I need to know specifically about travelers checks. Thx!)

Its how we pay for our spending money on our cruise, stay on budget and return home without a credit card payment. Its no problem - go down to guest services and cash it in. Of course, I always bring my credit card with me for emergencies but we've never had an issue with traveller's checks.

It's easiest to just bring cash!

We don't want to travel with that much cash - we're traveling the weekend before the cruise and don't want to take the chance.

Thanks, though! My question was already answered.

We use travelers checks also... Guest Relations or the casino will cash them... We usually cash them out periodically throughout the cruise... We cash one the night before we hit the port because sometimes the line at Guest Relations in the morning can be long...

We never had trouble cashing traveler's checks at the purser's desk. They did ask for an ID but I considered that a plus because "IF" my traveler's checks had been stolen or lost (and found by someone else) without my knowledge, the person at the desk would have noticed any discrepancies and not cashed them for the other person.
