ellbon Posted January 14, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 14, 2008 when you leave the ship's gated area there is a taxi/tour stand. You can get a driver for $30 per taxi. the tour is 2.5 hours and you side if the island or the south side. i did the north last year. he can drive you all over the island if you want or to the beach and pick you up later. also you can go to resorts on your own for the beach. hopes this helps
luvtwocruz Posted January 14, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2008 I just wanted to post this information for anyone who is looking for an inexpensive but GREAT tour of the North Side of the island. Just outside the port, along the street we meet up with Saebastian and his wife Anke. They had an open air truck and the tour cost $25. p/p. It was for 2 1/2 hours and was well worth it. This husband and wife team did a great job! We really did not have plans the day we went to Bonaire we were just gonna visit the port shops and drink at some of the local bars...we meet up with Sebastian and asked if we can do a tour in the afternoon, he took our names and we checked back with them and we left at 2pm.... :) Crown Princess 2007 Caribbean Princess 2006 Serenade of the Seas - RCCL 2005 Explorer of the Seas - RCCL 2004 Explorer of the Seas - RCCL 2003
Carmic Posted January 15, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2008 Thanks, luvtwocruz..........that is just what we were looking for. Did they offer tours to the south end of the Island? Which do you think is better? The north or the south?
