Jewel o/t Sea 2005 Spring Break Cruise

Hey all...family going on our annual spring break cruise. Picked the Jewel for our first RCCL cruise. Been on NCL, Disney and Carnival in the past. Got a D1 on Deck 9 just forward of the hump. Looking forward to seeing who else is going and if any other 8-10 year old girls are going (have twin 9 year olds).

When is your Spring Break? Many schools are off at different times. NYC and some suburbs have spring break last week of April, when we are thinking about a cruise with our family - 10 year old boy and 12 year old girl.

we are going on JOS 4/23/05, that is spring break in NYC. It seems only NYC has their spring break that week, everywhere else is earlier. we have one 6yob

Too bad our kids are a little bit older. Many Long Island and NJ schools are also off that week. Last April (last week) on the Summit we had a good number of kids during that week, but not as many as other times.

we are going on the March 26th cruise. Spring Break and Easter vacation is the same week in Florida this year. Usually, they are seperated.

 

Anybody going?

 

Anybody have any recent experience on the Jewel? Going 8-day eastern.

The Jewel hasn't done any Caribbean cruises yet. She was just launched this spring and has been doing Northern European cruises. When she comes transatlantic in the fall, she'll begin the Caribbean route. So you won't find anyone yet who has done JEWEL in the CARIBBEAN.

Well, I don't have the slightest idea why the links don't work, but you can do the same thing I did: use the Search function. Click on the search button in the blue band at the top of the CC screen. Click on advanced search. In keyword/topic, type in Jewel. In the forum list, highlight just RCI. Then click search. Titles of topics should tell you if it's worth reading. In particular, look for posts by Globaliser and madforcruising. They're GREAT! ;)
