ker2169 Posted September 17, 2004 #53 Share Posted September 17, 2004 Last month I sailed on the Holiday, and one of the bartenders did stop serving to a man that had a few to many. Also I really didn't see anyone getting out of hand or leaving a trail behind them, and this is coming from someone who didn't drink. I know that our table mates said, in the night club a couple of younger people were getting out of hand and security stepped in and removed them. From what I saw, CCL does try and watch over there ships and stop things from getting out of control.

pholter Posted September 17, 2004 #64 Share Posted September 17, 2004 Well, if you ever find me drunk and passed out so you have to walk over me, then I'd definitely blame it on the children and their parents.... I wouldn't drink like that if I didn't need to escape them and their behaviors allowed by the parents!! :) :)

CruiseFever Posted September 17, 2004 #68 Share Posted September 17, 2004
I can't figure out how to set this up as a poll, so let's just hear your opinions. We have heard all about how children should or shouldn't be on cruises and who is responsible for their behavior, who do you think is responsible for the stumbling drunks? Is it: A) Parents of the good children B) Parents of the bad children C) Passengers with no children D) CCL E) The drunks themselves. Feel free to add any other possibilities.
Well if the stumbling drunks are under 21 and traveling with their parents then the parents are to blame. If they are old drunks then they have no one but themself to blame. UNLESS you want to blame the bartender who should have cut them off when they had too much. I can't see any way to blame CCL though. How would they effectively police this 100%? Cameras in the cabins? Spies in the elevators? Ick.

GoinCruisin Posted September 17, 2004 #70 Share Posted September 17, 2004 Karen, yes... sad to say but several have gone overboard after drinking one too many... and several of them did not make it :( I just don't know how that can happen... bonstersd Posted September 17, 2004 #71 Share Posted September 17, 2004 Hey Brenda! I see you on the boards every now and then. So, how drunk was I on our cruise? Between me and my evil twin sister, I think we might have taken the drunkest award on the Conquest for that sailing date. I hope to take it again on the Spirit in February. (Everyone needs goals!)
