Noreen411 Posted March 23, 2008 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2008 Hi I'm not sure about scooters, but when we were in Barbados for the day (on the Explorer of the Seas) we easily rented a car right near the pier. It was about $95. The steering wheel is on the opposite side of what we are used in the in US and you drive on the opposite side of the street. We had a great time and were able to go all over and sew whatever we wanted to. Enjoy Noreen

As the other guy suggested, car rentals can be done right there at the Port, just bring your usual Vehicle Operators License with you... I'm pretty sure you have to register that Veh.Op. License at the nearby local CopShop which the rental place is well accustomed to doing expeditiously - and you'll be on your way! We don't drive fast on the island due to narrow roads, so you'll be alright but you can forget all about the golf cart thing, and perhaps the scooter thing too - unless you're an 'under-30' and well accustomed to motorbikes as a familiar means of transport where you live, already. They're not "fun" on this particular island (This is not Bermuda)
