Victory Bound Posted April 4, 2008 #82 Share Posted April 4, 2008 The cabin was awesome, even though we had a smut problem (no I left my porno at home). For some reason two days in a row the balcony was covered in oily soot. At first we had a problem getting it cleaned, but once we went to the pursers desk it was cleaned. Then the last two days not smut at all. I guess the engines were going through something. Tom in Long Beach That's so funny. Our entire familiy group had gathered for sail-away on my sister's balcony and I had gotten some black sooty stains on my shorts. I assumed there were smokers above us flicking their ashes, so I yelled up at them. Only to find out later the soot was coming from the smoke stack, not the smokers. Oops! Of course it seemed that out of everyone in our group, the soot only found me. :o
picklebongo Posted April 5, 2008 #83 Share Posted April 5, 2008 Tom-n-Cheryl I booked your "ultimate" cabin for 09' just based on your photo. I love just sitting/sleeping on deck and to be able to do that right outside my cabin comfortably is going to be incredible. Thanks for the great information and photo. Since we are a family of four I booked an inside cabin literally right next door too.

lynyrd Posted April 13, 2008 #86 Share Posted April 13, 2008 HANDS DOWN: 4228 or 4237 - they are (port and starboard) category 11's on Spirit class ships. The cabin is very nice as well :) Tom I was able to get 4237 on the Legend for S & S 5. I can hardly wait. :D
Rare Tom-n-Cheryl Posted April 13, 2008 #87 Share Posted April 13, 2008 I was able to get 4237 on the Legend for S & S 5. I can hardly wait. :D You'll LOVE it!! After our return yesterday (Glory - corner cabin 6452) it made me appreciate EVEN MORE those Spirit class deck 4 corners. I would say that 80-90% of the day there was beaming sun on our balcony thanks to the much smaller overhang (above). That may be great for sun worshipers - but if you want to just sit out there and enjoy the scenery/sounds then that sun is a little much. LadyLeo84 Posted April 13, 2008 #91 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Does anyone have photos of cabin #7440 or 7445 on the Freedom? We would really like to have the aft wrap balcony on our Med cruise next year, but was wondering about the layout and if it seemed small or overcrowded with the furniture? winddawn Posted April 13, 2008 Author #93 Share Posted April 13, 2008 Wow, Tom. Your cruise went really fast. Seems like just yesterday you said you were gettin' ready to get on the boat. Did you have a good time? You want to share a picture of that balcony??
pjjek05 Posted April 13, 2008 #94 Share Posted April 13, 2008 We have cruised on the Conquest, Pride & Glory. Always book a balcony, preferably on the Lido deck close to mid elevators. We have been in room 9269 on Conquest & Glory. Love being close to elevators (convenience!) and love being on the Lido (convenience!) . Never hear elevator noise, etc. Had to book a deck below Lido on the Pride because there were no staterooms on Lido on that ship...heard a little noise being below eating areas, etc.

I have seen your pictures of the Glory and other spirit-class ships but not any latest ones of the Spirit.:) I will be on the Spirit for Hawaii in Sept. and was just wondering.
