MellieInWI Posted April 1, 2008 #4 Share Posted April 1, 2008 I'm not sure I'd want to have a McDonalds/Starbucks on the ship. I go on vacation to get away from those kinds of things. I don't want to feel like I'm bringing my city on the trip with me. I'd personally love to have an area in a low-light part of the ship that had telescopes or things to aid in seeing the night sky and helping to find constellations, etc. One of the best parts of our cruise was going out on the front of the ship to look at the stars at night. cruiserbryce Posted April 1, 2008 #5 Share Posted April 1, 2008 I agree that if the additions become things like that I may search elsewhere for cruises...I want to go on a cruise not to an amusement park or to Mall of America
mckinna Posted April 1, 2008 #6 Share Posted April 1, 2008 I went to the C&A luncheon on Voyager this past week, and I asked the RCI officer at our table the scoop on Genesis. She said it was a closely guarded secret, and everyone had to sign contracts not to talk about it. She said she wasn't able to find out anything concrete, just rumors. Didn't know anything for sure. She did say that RCI was putting more money and ships into more exotic ports- Asia, for instance.
Davey Interweb Posted April 1, 2008 #7 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Heh, I was kidding about the McDonalds; I figured that if they wanted to put a Starbucks on there they may as well go all the way and include all of the usual generic-food-court suspects :D

RetireeWannabee Posted April 1, 2008 #18 Share Posted April 1, 2008 you need to MOVE !! Yeah, I'd much rather you move to where those things are convenient for you all the time than to stick em on a cruise ship. You should be able to buy Starbucks for home brewing in the mean time! wolfcathorse Posted April 1, 2008 #19 Share Posted April 1, 2008 A lazy river AND bigger, deeper whirlpool hot tubs with air jets that really curn up the water!!! And more of them too.
Davey Interweb Posted April 1, 2008 #20 Share Posted April 1, 2008 Lazy River. This. I hate the main pool area but I want to bob around on something floaty like I can at the Monte in Vegas. A beer-holder on my conveyance would be nice, too. It's a winner, RCI, trust us.
Swimfly Posted April 1, 2008 #21 Share Posted April 1, 2008 You all have great ideas. If there's a bowling alley I could get DH on board in no time. I love the swim up bar idea and the lazy river. What about a swim up bar at the beginning of the lazy river? Just teasing.
