Poker or slots tournies on 3 night cruises?

We are sailing on the Sovereign of the seas in a few weeks and are wondering if there are any kind of tournies in the casino on the 3 night cruise, and if so, when?

I was just on the 3 night cruise..and there was a blackjack tourney..i believe it was on the day they were in Coco Cay. That was the only tourney I heard about. No slot tournament for sure. :(

When I was speaking with the Director of Casino Operations for Royal Caribbean recently, he indicated there usually isn't a slot tournament on cruises 3 or 4 nights. There will likely be a blackjack tournament though.

Can you tell me more about the tourney? Will I be out of my "league"?

How much does it cost?

I think it is $20.00 to enter. I've played in them, and I'm by no means an experienced blackjack player. For $20.00 I'd say go try it!
