Casino Cash

Recommended Posts

I believe I already know the answer to this, but since I can't find a concrete answer anywhere, I'll throw the question out to all. Can you use your seapass to gamble in the casino or do you need $$$ for slots or table buy ins? We're on board the Liberty this weekend and I need to find out how much $$$ to bring.

Thanks in advance!

So, I could use my seapass card in a slot machine just like a credit card? Conversely, I can go to the casino cashier and get cash / chips for play? Just want to make sure before I cruise with little cash on me!

Thanks!

I believe the dealers can advance you cash form your seapass card...actually one of the pit bosses will. They ring it up like a normal transaction on the seapass. I'm not sure about the slots.

I seem to remember when we were on Mariner in March, there was a minimum (either $50 or $100) that they could get you at the table. Anything smaller would require you to go to the cashier.

Also, you can get cash straight from the cashier with your sea pass card. Either way you do it, it gets charged as a regular purchase, not as a cash advance. This comes in handy if you use your RCCL card for your charges since it will give you double points.

You cannot use your seapass card or a credit card in the slot machines. You need to go to the cashier in the casino who will give you the amount you request (up to a $2000 daily limit) and charge it to your seapass account. You will then have the cash you need to play the slots or to purchase chips for the table games. :) On some ships (Jewel of the Seas for one) there is a slot for your seapass card in the slot machines and you will accumulate points as you play. The points can later be redeemed for a variety of things including T shirts, polo shirts, etc.
