Docking in St. Maarten

St. Maarten has a very nice large pier that can accommodate four large ships at once. They are also currently building a new "Genesis" size pier next to the current one to hold the new Oasis of the Seas that Royal Caribbean is introducing next fall and it will be able to accommodate two ships.

St. Maarten has a very clean and beautiful port now. Dutch side of island, (Philipsburg).

Ships dock at the port.

One of our favorite islands! Love the beach at Little Divi Bay! :)

Enjoy your cruise~~~~ ~~~~

Yes, they dock the ship, but what you might be thinking of is that unless you are prepared for a fairly long, unshaded walk you will want to take the ferry over to the downtown area - or take a taxi.

The 'ferry' referred to here is most probably the Water Taxi, which shuttles between the Cruise Facility and a couple of spots downtown for $6 per person for the day.

You can catch a taxi from the port which is just a short walk from your ship. This is much cheaper than the excursion.

We love Little Divi Bay!!! A nice relaxing day at the beach~~~

Hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
