URGENT: Ziploc Bags for Liquids on Flights?

Hi,

Busy packing :D !!Does anyone know if there is a restriction on flights for the size of ziploc bag for liquids on flights? I`m using a large bag should i be using a small or what?

Has to be a one quart sized bag, which is a bit bigger than the sandwich size.

 

And the liquid containers/tubes/bottles etc have to be sized at 3oz or less. A bigger bottle with just a little liquid will be taken.

One quart size bag is all you can take in your carry on. No restriction on sizes in your checked luggage.

Just so you know you can only have ONE quart size bag per person. On a recent trip with my mom she thought she could have as many bags as she wanted as long as they were the quart size. NOPE! :D

What's so dreaded about packing?? Got good advice all over the board AND it means you are about to be on a cruise!

My travel-sized liquids just go in the plastic toiletry bag that came with my suitcase, just as I've done for the last two years or so.

I am not sure if our bags over here in australia are metric sizing but i know my bag and all my travel size toiletries were taken off me at orlando as my bag was an inch too big!!!

great travelling to australia with no toothpaste or deodrant.

so yes size does matter, (well it did in 2006 when i was there!!)

You'll be surprized at how much will fit in a quart size bag. I do advise using the heavier wieght freezer bag rather than the regular if you plan to stuff it. Also the zipper closure may work a little bettter than the regular one. Don't waste space by bringong half-empty containers. Invest in some small bottles and refill them from the large ones. I save the small containers for shampoo, etc, from hotels and fill them.
