GrammyJill Posted July 20, 2008 #31 Share Posted July 20, 2008 Mojito made with tequilla instead of rum. No rum for me. Now granted this isn't a sail away thing but I love going out on the pool deck that 2nd morning after breakfast & having a bloody mary. That is just the epitome of being of vacation for me........ 7 more weeks...... :D

ScottC4746 Posted July 20, 2008 #34 Share Posted July 20, 2008 :D :D :D I spend a lot of time on these boards getting great ideas and tips! Too much time:p . Sorry if I have overlooked this as a post, but... We are sailing next Saturday on the Explorer to Bermuda.. can we get some ideas for your favorite drinks so to kick off our vacation as we sail away! ;) Just want to get some ideas! Thanks to all! Sue I usually try to do a regional drink for where the cruise is headed...since you are going to Bermuda may I suggest the following. Order from the Bar and not the waitstaff: Bermuda Bouquet...Juice of 1/4 orange and 1/2 lemon. 1 tsp sugar, 1 1/2 oz gin, 1 oz apricot-flavored brandy, 1tsp grenadine 1/2 tsp triple sec. Shake with ice, strain into a highball glass with ice cubes. Bermuda Highball 3/4 oz gin 3/4 oz brandy 3/4 oz vermouth Pout into highball glass over ice cubes. Fill with giner ale or carbonated water. Add a twist of lemon peel and stir. Bermuda Rose 1 1/4 oz Gin, 1 1/2 tsp apricot-flavord brandy 1 1/2 tsp grenadine Shake with ice and strain into cocktail glass. (Martini glass)
