My Time Dining

Just back from the Brilliance of the Seas  and we opted for "My Time Dining".

"My Time Dining" means make a reservation for the time you want.

The "My Time Dining" room on the BOS was in the main dining room but it was a seperate area for My Time guests only.

We showed up the first night without a reservation :o and were seated at a very nice table overlooking the ocean. We were then informed that there could be very long delays if you just show up and want to eat any time the dining room is open  and that the preferred method was to make reservations either the day before or as we did on the second day for the whole cruise. We had no trouble adjusting our reservations when needed.

We enjoyed My time Dining and enjoyed the flexibility of adjusting our times based on the days activities but didnt find it as descibed in the RCCL brochure.

I have written before about my experience with My Time Dining. As the previous poster mentioned.........the cruise line sets aside a certain portion of the main dining room..........just for MTD.

The preferrable method of making reservations is to make them one day in advance.......for the time that you would like to eat.

We elected to have a "standing reservation" for a certain table, at a certain time......every night.

Since we we have access to the concierge.......on the nights that we were not going to be dining in the dining room........she would let the Maitre d' know that day. Also if we wanted to change our time......the concierge also took care of that. We always had the same table and waiter.

We LOVE MTD!! :) :D:)

How was what you experienced different from MTD as described in the brochure?
