Thanks Neil, I loved that ship.

Do you think you (or any one else ) may be able to find a current photo of her as she is now? (And, where she is?)

As I was only thinking about that the other day!!

Cheers

Hi Vicki,

If you do a search of Pullmantur Cruises, you will find her on their website (as well as ex-Pacific Sky). I saw her the other day and she looks pretty good!!

Thanks Neil ... I love the line up of cars (waiting around the round about and up the street) waiting to get into the car park!!!!!

The row of cars is normal on a cruise ship day, although now the new checkin area is open with it's own carpark it's not quite as bad.

Here is Wharf 8. Must have been a day with no ships in as the gate is closed!!

Sorry can't link the photo. But go check it out... Makes it so much better. You can be a tourist and not even be there!!

Amazing how good these are Charmain, and I can understand why some people are worried about privacy. I know what day they did our street, as my birthday balloons are on the mailbox. My next door neighbours car is parked and I can clearly see the rego plate.

Had a drive around some Sydney streets. Alas it is true, no cruise ships in town on the day.

Yes, tough to link these, but have done a few screen captures - click for bigger:

Great find Neil!

If you type Wharf 8 Darling Harbour Sydney into the search bar it brings up a few spots that have already been marked. Pin A is Wharf 8. Some kind, likeminded person has already marked it out for us :D

It's scary that you can type in your address and see your own house isn't it? Ours is a bit deceiving though as it shows more of our neighbours house than ours. I think I prefer it to be deceiving though ;) I'm paranoid

I just realised that if you look at Pin J you'll see OPT and there's a lovely big ship tied up along side :D Not sure which ship it is though. There seems to be a large orange coloured piece around the funnel?

Jo,

As per the earlier thread, this is QE2 berthed at OPT. The image was taken in Feb 2007.

Have you looked at your house in street view yet. Some of the images are so clear, that you can make out house numbers.

Geoff it's that long since I had the chance to have a decent look at CC i haven't been able to keep up with all the posts :(

It's still pretty exciting to see the ship at the wharf on Google Earth though :D

Yes Geoff I was amazed at how clear they are and love the 360 degree views. My sister is a cop & I was showing her today & she was amazed. She uses Google Maps all the time and this will add a new dimension obviously!!

I heard that there were a few people with too much time on their hands who checked out some sex shop addresses and could see people walking in quite clearly!!

Cheers,

Charmain:)
