Ive been on a handful of cruises and always find my days end up consisting of laying out and drinking delicious drinks by the pool the entire time:) Not that there is anything wrong with that but this time i would actually like to expand my horizons and try some of the other activities available on board!

Whats your favorite activity? whats your typical day/night on board (particularly on sea days) Thanks! :D

My wife and I have been on five cruises and have never used the pool, but the hot tub is a defferent matter. We like the one near the gym less crowed. My personal favoret spot is the casino. My wife likes the shows. I enjoy coffee at dawn while the ships come into port.:)

I always have fun playing Trivia. Usually it is the same people who play day after day, so after the third day or so, it becomes somewhat of a Trivia Club!

Non-pool things to do - attend the art auction and drink free champagne, play bingo, listen to the shopping talks, take a galley tour (LOTS of stainless steel in there!!), waste $$ in the casino, attend high tea, sit in a massage chair on the promenade deck and stare out at the ocean, nap, get a facial/massage in the spa (just say no - they'll try to sell you BUNCHES of stuff!!).

I just starting going to the tea party on my last cruise and it was great. I love going to get yogurt cones and make them for others. About everyday I really enjoy taking a nap, the beds are so comfortable. I love to go to the past guest and captains parties. Everynight is fun dressing up and going to the dining room. Then I love sitting by the casino with my DH while I listen to music and have a drink in my hand. I enjoy going to the fitness room to run on the treadmill and/or lift weights. I'm probably no help for you, I don't do much on a cruise. But I love your question because I've been on alot of cruises and want to make my next cruise funner, some how. So hope you get alot of answers at this thread.:)

My favorite thing to do is relax on a lounge chair in the shade above the Lido deck. Just hang out there drinking iced tea, read a book, look out at the ocean, listen to music in the background, people watch, close my eyes and just think how great the moment is...

Try playing trivia, watching the Newlywed-Not so Newlywed game, Hairy Chest contest, etc. during the day. Go over the Capers the night before or while laying around the pool early to find out what's going on and when.

In the evening, check out the casino, go to the piano bar, go to one of the big shows, stay up late for the midnight comedy show, watch karaoke, stroll the outer deck in the dark, get a piece of pizza and take it back to your balcony or browse through the shops.

There is so much to do! :)

I really wish Carnival had "crafting sessions" on sea days. I enjoyed these with my DH on two cruises with the NCL Norwegian Sea (2000 & 2004). Corny, but fun to learn to make something "new". Supplies were provided, free. Brought home some fun souvenirs, and memories- of several "projects" on each cruise. Funny how his always turned out nicer than mine.

Favorite thing on any cruise is to watch sunrise & sunsets over the ocean, a stroll around the moonlit deck before bedtime.

And our exciting shore excursions. Can hardly wait for our next Carnival cruise. This will be our second with Carnival. Our "first ever" cruise was on the Fascination in 1996 and didn't realize the Capers were so full of things we "missed". Not anymore..... I've already noted to check out the scrap booking session, and tea time, order room service and enjoy our first balcony.

Can hardly wait for our turn on the Conquest, coming up soon, just NOT soon enough- LOL

Some (many) may find this crazy........................BUT...........My favorite time of the day on ship is on one of the upper decks, coffee and pastries in hand, and watching the sun RISE over the horizon. there are very few up on deck that early and it is quiet, peaceful, and the sunrise is always spectacular. I like the sunsets, too, but there is nothing like seeing that sun break over the horizon with nothing but water all around:)
