trout96 Posted August 10, 2008 #1 Share Posted August 10, 2008 My family is talking about going on a cruise together. We have about 30 people going. How can we find the best deal?
cusyl Posted August 10, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Find a good travel agent. I believe you qualify for group rates if you have eight cabins and get one cabin free.:D

You'd have to have 16 cabins to get 1 cabin for free.

Guess I didn't remember that...has it changed over the years?
AF-1 Posted August 10, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 10, 2008 I was told by RCI that if you book 8 cabins (16 people), one person will get a free ride. Does this make sense? Cheers
SheilaNC Posted August 10, 2008 #6 Share Posted August 10, 2008 Yes - however if you have a 30 person group, I'd talk to several TAs and see the best deal that is offered. Should be other perks like onboard credit and, perhaps, wine and other goodies.... You'll have to decide how much of the 'work' you wish to do...seems like you can negotiate more if you're willing to do some of the record keeping. However, if I was doing it - I'd let the TA have the headaches :) I did a group of 11 in our family and it was relatively painless but 30....hmmmm
