FLL Marriott Marina!

I feel so lucky today! I bid $125/room on Priceline.com for 2 rooms (3* downtown FLL) & got the Marriott Marina! I'm so happy, as it's our top choice but didn't think we'd be able to afford 2 rooms anywhere. It's on the water shuttle stop - yippee! Any other info on this hotel?

Thanks, Trixie, I am staying there on March 19th, compliments of priceline as well. I also need a room for the 11th of March and was hoping to get the Marriott through priceline, but so far, no luck. Enjoy your stay there, its a great spot.

Hi trixie, was that 125.00 per room or for both. We stayed there last Jan, and it is a beautiful hotel, we are staying there again this Jan. We also bid through priceline and it was accepted at 77.00.

Hi, I was lucky and got a room high up:) ...nice view of the port! You can see the ships!

You can request it..not sure they always accomodate those with Priceline reservations as opposed to "Regular" ones...but I had a great view:D

It can't hurt to ask. I plan to ask for a room high up facing the port, we'll see what we get. We'll be happy with whatever we get, we love this hotel.

Does anyone know if there is a liquor store or drug store/store to buy soda within walking distance of the Marina Marriott?

There is a grocery store and liquor store about 1-2 blocks from the Marriott Marina.

I guess it is a safe walk to the grocery/liquor store.

 

Also, anyplace inexpensive to eat breakfast within walking distance?

 

Finally, I know this has been asked 100 times, but how much is cab fare from the airport?

 

If the shuttle is too busy to the port, how much is that cab fare?

Shouldn't be much more than $10 - $15, plus tip.
