DougH Posted August 20, 2008 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2008 About the only option is a glacier cruise. There is really nothing in Whittier. I sure miss the days when Princess went to Seward, there is LOTS to do there

We stayed at their deluxe hotel 2 years ago w/grand daughter taking the Coral down. Scheduled the Phillips 26 glacier tour, huge catamaran, we departed traveled maybe 10 miles out. Turned around and came back, raining so hard you couldn't see. Cancelled, returned to hotel watched the rain. GERTZ Princess Elite Next Tahitian 9/18 Vancouver to Honolulu Coral 4/12 FLL to LA Island 8/17/09 Island Back to Alaska 4th time w/grandson:D

The clouds though are sometimes "on the deck" limiting visibility. We have done it and yes, in the rain. I like the review by Parke Cannon at www.akhs.atfreeweb.com/Hikes/PortPass.htm. NancyIL Posted August 20, 2008 #5 Share Posted August 20, 2008 We did the 6-hour PWS cruise with Prince William Sound Cruises & Tours: http://www.princewilliamsound.com/579.cfm We did it as a day trip from Anchorage, but it would be a good time filler between b2b cruises out of Whittier.
