Thank you for visiting Celebrity Cruises online. I welcome every opportunity to spread the word about our fantastic vacation product.

This is an incredibly exciting time for Celebrity, and, in turn, for our valued guests. In the past year, we have begun to implement a host of enhancements that take our commitment to delivering service with style to a new level.

  • In an effort to continue to dazzle your palates with exceptional dining experiences, we have charted a new culinary course by partnering with renowned culinary consultancy Blau & Associates. This standout team, along with our own food and beverage experts, is hard at work creating contemporary, gourmet menus for our entire fleet.
  • Your response to the addition of our cruises and cruisetours in Australia/New Zealand this year was so positive that we are deploying Celebrity MillenniumSM to the region in 2009.
  • In 2009, for the first time, we will have five Celebrity ships in Europe, one of the most popular cruise destinations today.

  • ***When Celebrity SolsticeSM debuts in November 2008, she will offer outside views in 90 percent of her staterooms, and verandas in 85 percent of staterooms. The staterooms themselves will be larger than those on any other Celebrity Cruises ship, with 80 percent of rooms being 248 square feet.***

  • Our Solstice class also will offer a new class of accommodations, AquaClassSM expressly designed for spa enthusiasts. AquaClassSM will feature unlimited access to a new relaxation room and the exotic Persian Garden, as well as exclusive, complimentary dining in Blu, an intimate, 130-seat specialty restaurant whose design will be as inviting as the cuisine.
  • When the 2,850 guests who will sail on Celebrity SolsticeSM step outside of their staterooms, they will enjoy a vast array of rare experiences, including a new collaboration with the world-renowned Corning Museum of Glass. The "Hot Glass ShowSM" will bring the captivating art of glassblowing to the high seas for the very first time.
  • We have begun production on Celebrity EquinoxSM, which will enter service in 2009. Celebrity EquinoxSM will be followed by Celebrity EclipseSM in 2010 and a fourth, as-yet-unnamed Solstice-class ship in 2011.
  • Our new brand campaign, "Starring YouSM consists of TV, print and online components designed to communicate Celebrity's trademark: putting our guests at the center of our commitment to delivering service with style. That commitment comes to life every day, on the eight ships in Celebrity's fleet. From the moment you step onboard and are handed a welcome glass of champagne, you are at the center of our attention.

Whether you have four nights of vacation or 14, we hope to have the opportunity to give you our signature service with style. After all, doesn't everybody deserve a little "fame" now and then?

Sincerely,

Dan Hanrahan

Hi RCCL !

This has already been discussed quite a bit, but to answer your question.... The 248 square foot figure, includes the balcony. The interior space in balcony cabins is stated as 194 sq ft, and the balcony is 54 sq ft. That is how they are getting the 248 sq ft calculation.

I hope this helps !

So how are the Solstice staterooms larger than those in the =X= fleet?? Also, why did Cruise Critic report that the veranda staterooms were 215 sq. ft???   I am a bit confused, sorry!

The answer is that the Solstice staterooms are not larger than Concierge Class staterooms on M class ships. They would be larger than regular staterooms on M class or the older ships.

Well, not to be too knitpicky but the M-Class Concierge SR/Veranda is 191sf/41sf, while Solstice standard Veranda is 194sf/54sf - which is larger.

We've sailed Conceirge on M-Class for the larger room (plus all the other neat stuff on M-Class), and looking forward to the Solstice. I look at this as, you book a Solstice standard Veranda SR, and get a SR a bit larger than the CC M-Class. Everybody wins!
