you loose it.............right?

I have saved a CHUNK of money so far, and it just keeps falling.

Some of the excursions that we were going to do has come to a screaching hault because my dad broke his hip yesterday and our cruise is about a week away and I am not a big drinker so......

I am sure I will just forfeit it, but thought I would ask.

We put everything on a cc so I have never experienced it. From everything I've read on here, they issue a check on the last night to anyone with cash left on their S&S.

Can you imagine how much money they could make off of what some people have left?

I believe that you can apply it towards your auto-tips. Maybe you can use some extra towards a special dinner. Does your cruise ship have the cost-extra restaurant?

I would think that you are going to lose it, so I would spend as much as possible.

I am also not a drinker, but I do drink alot of N/A frozen drinks, so I would recommend some of those.

I believe the the OP is discussing an on-board credit, not money left over that they put on when they got there. I would think that most OBC get used.

I think you are talking about OBC you got because of price drops correct?

If so, use it or loose it. Buy pics- I would say that is the best way to use extra money onboard!

As far as money on accounts, if you have added the money, you will get back whatever you dont use.

If its OBC an agency gave you as a promotion or because of drops, you will need to use it all. Remember, this CAN be used to pay gratuities.

Here is the response from my PVP

"ON BOARD CREDIT SHOULD BE USED, IF NOT IT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED"

On a previous cruise we amassed a total of $380 OBC before we boarded, and wondered the same thing. We received a check attached to the billing statement on the last night of our last cruise for $140.

All OBCs are not created equal any that are not your money (booking bonus, shareholder credit) are not refundable.

Any that are your money (pre-paid, price drops) are refundable.

I hadn't thought about it, but that makes darn good sense.

Thanks, Duck!! :)

Your 1st statement will tell you if the credits are refundable or not. If not ( I have always found any credits I have gotten are refundable) go to the casino as others have stated, but don't buy chips (15% fee) load your card with slot machine credit, then cash out - no fees involved.

Before you spend money that could be refundable. Take 2 min on the 2nd day on board ( 1st day is usually busy) and ask the front desk. They will tell you EXACTLY what will happen to your unused OBC and then you can make an informed decision.
