Are there clock radios in the cabins?

just wondering if there are clock radios in the cabins on the Caribbean Princess. We are sailing in 2 weeks, and I was just curious. I know I shouldn't care that much about the time while on vacation, but hey! :)

You can arrange for a wake up call via the telephone.

I have never sailed on a ship that did have clock radios in the cabins. Is this your very first cruise? :)

Just to add a little to the above answers.............digital clock led (lcd?) whatever display on telephone and a TV station that broadcasts ship infomation 24/7 and time with that.

We didn't have a clock on either the Coral or the Grand. Since we had a lot of morning shore excursions on both cruises we brought a long a travel alarm clock. We had been told that the wake up call service isn't 100% reliable and didn't want to oversleep.

We used the phone alarm system ... turned out to be pretty handy since we were constantly changing time zones and it updated automatically

Thanks everyone for the advice. Yes, this is our first cruise. I guess we will go with wake-up calls when needed as well. An alarm clock is one less thing to pack in the suitcase!

If you use the wake up call system, be sure you punch in AM -- not PM (it's an easy mistake to make) -- or you'll miss your shore excursion! :( I feel more confident with my own little alarm clock. ;)

There are music channels on the TV but I would opt for the CD player if I was you...much better!

I always pack a small clock radio. We use it to get up in time for an excursion and then I turn on the radio to find a local island station. It's great to get ready in the morning listening to music from the island.

My husband insists on bringing an alarm clock that plays "nature sounds" or water sounds. We have slept through the water sounds though! ;)

 

My mother and her cousin slept through a shore excursion in an inside cabin once. Be careful!! :eek:

I'm one of those people who always has to know what time it is if I wake up in the middle of the night, so I *must* have a clock! We always bring a battery-powered travel alarm clock, because I've seen others post that their plug-in clocks didn't keep the right time. I think it has something to do with the ship's current being somehow uneven.
