As the OP of this thread, thanks for all the responses. Especially Copper!! And jtutak and Sea King; if I go with the bathrobe, I’ll try to remember to wear something underneath. They might check at the door.:p

Maybe they didn't have proper underwear on or the top was a little to small for them. Of course, that would take some scrutiny! I think some captains follow the rule to a tee and other look the other way just like they do for dress code violations in high school.:D
