disabled traveler in grand turk

The port area appears to me very accesible. Since the hurricane, there is really not much to see yet so I wouldn't recommend a tour untill they recover more from the damage. Most of the island tours have been cancelled with the exception of excursions involving water activities. Most people either relax on the beach or do a catamaran or snorkel/dive type excursion.

Maybe by the time you sail there will be more available on the island. Some places just recently got electricity back, and there are still some areas still waiting for electricity.

The port will be very accessible for you. The modern concrete dock opens right into the Margaritaville entertainment complex with lot's of shops scattered around ... all connected by large totally paved areas. Even the pool at Margaritaville is very easy to use. One end has "O" drop-off at the edge. It's kind of like a beach that you walk out into starting with no depth to the water gradually going down to the maximum depth (which is only waist deep). And, the previous poster is correct. Beyond the port area there is not a great deal to do on Grand Turk. That was the case even before the hurricane hit. But, we enjoy Grand Turk because it's always a wonderful beach/relaxation day!!
