Star-Man Posted December 3, 2008 #2 Share Posted December 3, 2008 The link is to some video with something about an american company giving their employees a bonus after selling the company. Nothing to do with cruising or pirates

Rare arxcards Posted December 3, 2008 #6 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Very funny Geoff!!! :DBut this is a serious thread!!! :( Sorry for being flippant Marg. I have been reading up a fair bit on Nautica, and revisiting the Seabourn Spirit attack. There are a couple of places in the cruise world that require a bit of caution. The Seabourn one was largely due to the Captain taking a shortcut closer to the Somali coast, despite warnings.
SeaDog-46 Posted December 4, 2008 #7 Share Posted December 4, 2008 A recent photo of Seaborn Spirit being escorted by French registered armed survey vessel. Piracy is NOT a funny Peter Pan & Wendy story for children. Seamen have been killed in the hundreds over the last 30 years. It's good that several European nations & others are patrolling the Gulf of Aden.
