3/4/5 day Baja Cruises....Balconies

Anyone know why there never seems to be any balcony rooms available on these trips?

 

Just curious.

The smaller,older ships have far fewer balconies available. Most are suite level. Suite level on Carnival doesn't truly equate to suite level on other cruiselines, however.

 

I just managed to grab one that came open late (after final payment) for our January 1 cruise on the Elation. I gave up a great military rate to get it - so I hope DH really appreciates the balcony!

Fantasy class ships have NO balconies, only cat 11 and 12 suites, except for plans to convert some OVs on one of these ships.

 

There never were any balconies on the ships that do the shorter cruises, unless you go up to Spirit class.

Yeah, we managed to grab a partially obstructed, catagory 11 on Elation. The cabin and balcony were nice, but no bathtub.

 

We would still book a Cat. 11 again.
