those are the prices from the Pier Coordinator ONLY. (RCI Revenue Dept (Miami)).

If you board the ship and upgrade at the Guest Relation desks (On Board SHIP revenue Dept.) . . . the price you would pay is usually MUCH Higher.

Here is a reminder. . . You must check in fully at the check in desk, and when they hand you your Sea Pass card. . .then it is OK to go to the Pier Coordinator to inquire about an upgrade.

Thanks so much! Is that per person or per cabin?

I believe that the prices that you are looking at........are for a 7 day cruise. The length of cruise will make a difference of what one would pay to upgrade at the pier.:)

Many moons ago, folks figured out to to play the upgrade game, then RCI figured it out.

Used to be CHEAP to upgrade!

Once RCI figured it out, the prices jumped.

Then ship got FULL!!!!

But, with the slower economy, it may be time to try again, so good luck!!!!!

One correction: then it is OK to RUN to the Pier Coordinator ...... as a matter of fact while you're finishing up the check-in, the other one should go down and get in line for the Pier Coordinator. :D

We are out of Port of Miami. Where would the pier coordinator be, in the same room where we check in?

You could play the let's negotiate game.....then when places like CC laid out the "how to's" RCI picked up and tighened up. Set prices, etc.

I politely disagree.......as a matter of fact the word "poppycock" comes to mind! :D

As long as I have been cruising with RCCL, their pier upgrades have been a fixed price. They flucuate based on what the Marketing folks decide for that cruise, availability, etc., but THEY make the decision. I was just posting on another thread today where someone suggested negotiating a b2b while on the first cruise. As I said in that post, we're not buying used cars here, we're buying a fixed price product.

Jennifer: yes the Pier Coordinator is there in the check-in area. Just ask one of the staff members as you go into the line where the PC is located. There is usually a long counter with check-in stations, and the PC is usually at one end or the other. They will have a sign posted saying if they are sailing full and no upgrades are available.
