I like it better than the other one, but my opinion may be biased.

 

Actually thought the outtakes and the fan videos on YouTube were better than the actual commercial. Even Johns raw footage.

Now, call me crazy and you will probably be right, but I kind of like the commercials. My guess is that Carnival wants to get these two pieces out there that are just showing adults having fun over stupid stuff (with the radio annoucer in the background) and then follow it up with another commercial that shows what Carnival really is. I think these are just teasers. People watch them, go huh? then see the next one and it ties it all in. I don't know just my thoughts. I don't hate the commercials, my panties aren't all in a wad...I do love the music which conjurs up fun...we'll see where they are going with this... Ok flame away I am ready I can take it...I cruise in 26 days!!!

The boys were beating it with a bat and my neice started screaming and crying that they were killing Dora...:eek:

 

OMG!!! How funny! The same thing happened at our friends party. They had a Dora Pinata too. Poor child would not stop crying....I think she has been scarred for life.....girls I tell ya:D

Only donkey pinatas from now on.........

ohh yea the commercial,

I saw it the other night finally and my thoughts were.

hmmmm, and the point of this is????? makes absolutley no sense. the only thing I saw that had anything to do with carnival cruise is the crowd of people. just my thoughts.:confused:

Right I saw it last night and it was bad who would want to book a cruise from that commerical? When we were in Venice and had a mask party they had us stage a really good time and say Welcome Home hundreds of us on the deck with our masks and told us it would be a commerical I bet we did it 6 or 8 times never saw the commerical but we tried reaaly hard to show we were having a good time

Geez! I hadn't replied to this thread before, because I "thought" I had not seen the new commercial. Then it finally dawned on me that I was watching a Carnival commercial last night, when I caught a glimpse of the Carnival "tail" go past at the end. I backed it up and paid more attention to the entire commercial, and I am shocked. What a waste of money! That commercial will not interest anyone in cruising! It has nothing at all to do with cruising. What were they thinking?? :confused:

Edited to add that I was referring to the pinata commercial. I guess I haven't seen the beach ball one yet....or maybe I did and didn't realize it was about Carnival..... They definitely need to fire their advertising team!

John Heald is going to do an interview with the Chief Marketing Officer to try and put a spin on the all the negative responses about the commercials. If during interview he agreed that they suck I would seriously fall off my chair.:D I guess if John has to bring in the big guns they are starting to panic. Its a good thing Carnival has me hooked already as I don't need any commercials to cruise:D

I have been trying to keep up with all the responses to his blog article about this. It seems like the vast majority don't like it. But like it or not, his blog responses, and threads like this, are oodles of free customer reaction information for them. Somehow I don't see these ads sticking around long like the older ones did. Just a feeling I have....:rolleyes:

My husband saw the Pinata Comercial at the Cinamark movie theater this afternoon!!!!! I am not suprised by this, they have been making movie goers watch at least 10 minutes of comercials, then the movie Trailers, while wating to see the movie!! Usually the comercials are the longer ones, but he said it was the same one posted on John Healds blog.
