Ok, so I am new to this whole forum thing...My fiance and I will be celebrating our honeymoon on the Legend of the Seas departing from Civitavecchia on June 14th. I guess what I am looking for is ideas on what to do on the day we leave...we will have several hours in the morning to spend doing something...What? Also we are wondering what hotel is good to stay at the night before the cruise...we are looking at the Hotel Bramante. Also is there anyone else taking this cruise or might have taken this cruise we would love some insight on the ports of call

Messina

Athens

Ephesus

Herkalion

Rome

Thanks! Hope I did this right....

Hi Brian

Congrats on the upcoming wedding.

We have just got home from Legend of the Seas from Rome to Singapore and had the best time.

We stayed in two hotels in Rome as we spent three weeks in Italy.

Starhotel Metropole and Hotel Canada. Starhotel was more expensive but for a Italian hotel it was lovely. Also walking distance to train station to get to the port. Hotel Canada was also walking distance to train but was not as upmarket. There was nothing wrong with it we just preferred Starhotel. And also cheaper. If your going in June all the hotels will be expensive around that time.

What can you do on day for port - go to trevi fountain which is central. Alot depends on where you stay. We slept in as we had been on the go for three weeks. Caught train around 11:30am to the port and got straight on board. Didnt want any stress.

Anything else i can help you with just ask away.

Go to the roll calls section of the boards, and see if there is a thread just for this particular cruise. This is where everyone on a particular cruise can meet up before the cruise and share information.

In addition, there is another section with port information.
