Carnival Miracle Cruise on 2/1/09

Hi Fellow Cruisers,

This is my first post, although I have used Cruise Critic often with my sister-in-law. My husband and I are about to take our 6th cruise which will port at Cozumel, Belize, Costa Maya, and Grand Cayman. I wondered if anyone had any suggestions for favorites to do in Belize. We have done the Cave Tubing excursion in the past and loved it. Are there any really beautiful beaches there that are not to far from the port? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

We did the excursion to Altun Ha-Mayan temple ruins. It takes about 1 hour to get there by bus. It's in the middle of a rainforest so very lush. It was something different than shopping or a beach. There really aren't beaches there.

Carnival offers a private island tour for $42. It's from 9:25-1:15 p.m. It includes a rum or punch beverage and they have paddle boats, etc. available (at an extra cost). I just signed up for it.:p

Carnival offers an excursion to a private island (Belize) from 9:15-1:15 for $42. Price also includes a rum or punch beverage. Other activities (paddleboats, etc.) are available on the island at an additional cost.:p
