jenphan Posted January 5, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 5, 2009 I understand that there is a fee for dining in the Piazza for gelato and pastries, I was just wondering how much it was. Do you pay per item? Thanks!
chrysalis Posted January 5, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2009 pastries are free...gelato is $1.50 for three scoops. Most items there at the International Cafe are free....items that have a cost are well marked.
cruzzers Posted January 5, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2009 They have some wonderful cakes and deserts during the day and a nice variety of pastries in the morning. There are also some very nice salads and sandwiches served after 11:00 AM. All of these items are complimentary. The only items you pay for are the specialty items, mostly served in the evening time. It is a great area to sit and people watch, have a cup of coffee, or see some of the Piazza entertainment. You can also order a beautiful fondue to share. sherman931 Posted January 5, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2009 As most commented, the majority of items are free; those that have a cost are clearly identified. Nice place....enjoy :)
LuvTheGoodLife Posted January 5, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 5, 2009 They have 'tapas' (small plates) in the evening - little shrimp, lamb chop etc. I believe these were 3 for $3 or similar. Sushi can be bought in Vines for $3 for a roll.
gracie65 Posted January 5, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 5, 2009 How crowded does it get at different times of the day?
chrysalis Posted January 5, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 5, 2009 How crowded does it get at different times of the day? not very crowded at all.....I think because most people think that there is a charge for all the items
Pia1913 Posted January 5, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 5, 2009 How crowded does it get at different times of the day? Sometimes it's crazy crowded; other times empty. Expect crowds whenever there's Piazza entertainment; early AM few people; lunch time varies.
billet Posted January 6, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 6, 2009 I think this thread should be removed. There is a danger that too many people are going to find out about the international cafe!

TorontoTL Posted January 6, 2009 #14 Share Posted January 6, 2009 Munching on a snack in the Piazza on the Crown while having a cappuccino or tea was one of my favourite things to do on the Crown.
