High School Spring Break

I believe here hs spring break is mid april.

March is typically the colleges, with the middle of March the busiest. High Schools let out afterwards, typically at or around Easter.

Since the entire country has different schedules (including both public and private schools), you'll have kids on the ships all spring long.

The first week of March is very early for spring break. I doubt there will be too many high-schoolers. The cruiselines don't allow teenagers to book a cruise unless they are travelling with their parents or other older adults.

Since I work at a school, I have to travel over spring break. There are a fair amounts of kids then, but I really haven't had many problems with bad behavior onboard- other than a few elevator button pushers that were around 13ish.

Our break this year is early April. It always falls the week before or after Easter in our district.

I think you'll be fine that week.

You'll find spring breaks from mid February to mid April. The first week in March tends to be a low week for spring breaks but you'll definitely find some that week, although it's more likely to be college spring breaks instead of high school spring breaks. Around here elementary and high school breaks tend to be in mid March.

On the west coast of Canada - BC - we're off mid March. Some districts take 2 weeks & I think most of those are the middle 2 weeks of the month.

 

Traditionally we are off the week of St Patrick's Day.

We have Mardi Gras break Feb. 23 - 27 and then Easter break April 9 - 17

The majority of schools in the greater Phoenix area will be out the week of March 9th, including Arizona State University. The week of March 16th has the U of AZ and Northern AZ University.

We were on the Carnival Legend sailing out of Tampa last year on the week that 4 counties in the Tampa Bay area were on Spring Break...the ship was packed with kids!

Spring Breaks in Ohio range from some colleges as early as President's Day through the week after Easter. Most high schools in Ohio are from Mid March through the week after Easter. It is not unusual in our state to have schools on breaks over six different weeks.

Michigan High School/Elementary breaks are the 1st week in April. Colleges are all spread out in March, most being 1st or second week.

New York schools are closed for "Winter Break" the week of Feb. 16th. Then closed again for Easter week April 13, 2009. YEAH!!! We will be on the Ruby Princess!

School vacation for Massachusetts, in February, is the week of the 15th.

 

New Hampshire is the following week. ;)
