Best cruise line for early 30's?

My husband and I are in our early 30's and we are looking to go on a cruise. The problem I am finding is that we are prety mellow 30 somethings. We don't drink or party and just kind of like to hang out. Our cruise we are planning is in the middle of spring break and I am a bit concerned. Here is what I am wondering:

 

#1. What is the best cruise line for people like us? That don't like to party or drink all that much? We like to do other things like eat, swim, casino.....those types of things. Just not interested in a party atmosphere.

 

#2. What cruise line is most likely to have the least amount of college kids on it?

 

Our budget is middle of the road. We would like a suite or a balconey room and are willing to spend up to $1100 per person without air for a great room on a great ship.

Almost ANY line will do--that's what's so neat about cruising---you can do as much or as little as you like. You can go to bed early, or party the night away. You can gamble, or not. Drink, or not!

A cruise is what YOU make of it!

A JS (on RCI) or a mini-suite on other lines is a wonderful way to cruise---lots of room (most like a hotel room--standard cabins are pretty tight) to manuever around! Definitely get a balcony at the very least for the most "cruiselike" experience! Since it will be just the 2 of you, it's quite romantic!

Almost every line (except the really high-end luxury ships) will have kids, but don't worry. Most have great kids programs that keep the kids busy and out of your hair!

College kids under 21 can't cruise without "adults", so don't worry about that!

we are also the same age, and the best thing to do is make sure you dont book a short cruise, thats were all the partiers are, and the spring breakers, the longer the cruise the better,

not sure where you want to go, but we really like princess,celebrity,carnival then NCL out of the ones weve been on..

March spring break is high cruise season. While nothing is impossible, I doubt you'll be able to get a full suite for $1100 each.

 

You should be able to find a balcony cabin for that price.

 

I agree with Hammergirl - you could be happy on any number of cruise lines. However, it sounds like Celebrity cruises might suit you, so I priced brand new Celebrity Solstice. Balconies for the March 1 cruise start at around $900 pp, but for March 15 soar to $1,250 per person, then dip to $1,150 for Mar 22 and 29.

They are all fine as others have said. To avoid spring breakers think longer itinerary & more expensive. Cruising is not a true favorite Spring Break destination -- the drinks are too expensive & there are no organized debachery contests (other than Quest).
