Belle Posted November 15, 2004 #1 Share Posted November 15, 2004 When I booked it...had Nine Months To Wait! Time goes by slow but in some ways..it goes by fast! A question for past Pride cruisers. Is it true the dining room is closed for lunch the three days we're in port. That has never happen before. Something new? Elation never did that. The Lido is fine but like being waited on in the dining room. No big deal..just a surprise. Now waiting for the weeks to go by..
michelle2 Posted November 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2004 I just got off the Pride yesterday. We had a wonderful time. Yes, the Normandie dining room is closed for lunch on all 3 port days. The food was great on the Lido deck! Let me know if you have any other questions. Belle Posted November 16, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted November 16, 2004 Michelle..Glad you had a wonderful time on the Pride. Hope your going to write a reveiw of your cruise on the Pride. Thanks for information about the dining room. First time this has happen on a cruise ship that I've been on. Guess it's a cost-cutting thing. Less people eat there while in port, less wasted food. The waiters can do other jobs and/or have time off. cj..Thanks for the pictures. Can see all the dark wood and the pictures that people talk about. Looks like a nice ship. Pretty areas. Thank you for taking the time.
Bmrsmom Posted November 16, 2004 #5 Share Posted November 16, 2004 When we go to the Queen Mary to register, get the paper work done, what do we do with our luggage. Do we take it to the tier first then go register.
michelle2 Posted November 16, 2004 #6 Share Posted November 16, 2004 There are lots of porters near the parking garage taking your luggage. You drop off your luggage with them first before you head over to the Queen Mary.
