CanadacruiseRN Posted January 18, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Raspberry Creme Brulee, Any dessert souffle, the home made ice cream in any flavour, Shrimp Diavalo(sp?), Beef wellington, Pasta..... especially fetuccine alfredo, the soup is often very delicious, the cold soups are also unique and yummy, we had a cold soup called pina colada served in a cocktail glass that was actually a Pina Colada! Fish dishes are either very good or totally dry and inedible. Salads are well done and the sun dried tomato vinaigrette is a good dressing. We have anytime dining and some of the best meals we ever had were because of the great company and the terrific wait staff. (It can also work both ways! BUT we have rarely experienced bad food or a bad dining experience). Laurel

britsbest Posted January 18, 2009 #8 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Beef wellington and Lobster. They're usually the same night so regrettably have to have both !
TwinCruiserMom Posted January 18, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 18, 2009 French onion soup - not on the menu but your waiter should offer it one night. Eggplant parmigiana Prime Rib Love Boat Dream
TrojanJulez Posted January 18, 2009 #10 Share Posted January 18, 2009 In general - the soups and the salad dressings. Several flavors that I have never heard of and would probably never try if I had to "pay" for it on land, but they were excellent!
Rare JustinPlusLauren Posted January 18, 2009 #11 Share Posted January 18, 2009 The fettuccini alfredo is sooo good! Every dessert I tried was amazing! Actually, every meal I had was fantastic. With the salads, I enjoyed the balsamic vinaigrette.
Rare JustinPlusLauren Posted January 18, 2009 #12 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Also, if your ship has a Cafe Caribe and you have a sushi buffet lunch afternoon, if that's your thing you should definitely try it...one of our faves from the buffet! Also, the Mexican themed lunch was amazing as well!
ModelDoc Posted January 18, 2009 #13 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Well, if I could choose just one thing, it would have to be the Fettucini Alfredo! Luckily, it's served every night, so on my last cruise I had them serve me a smaller version as an appetizer every day for dinner. :D Angela
Rare Trish Traveler Posted January 18, 2009 #14 Share Posted January 18, 2009 cranberries. Oh, and a two-for-one Blue Hawaiian at Happy Hour. Did you say Happy Hour?? Do they really offer 2 for 1 sometimes? This will be my first time on Princess and I never read anything about 2 for 1 drinks. What time do they usually offer that? We will be on the Crown in a week. Thanks.
Kirsten T Posted January 18, 2009 #15 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Any souffle, any pasta, any ship-made ice cream, and they really should outlaw those little almond (anginetti?) cookies available during the day at La Patisserie and served on Italian night in the dining room. I eat about 10 every time I go by the tray. :>

paintchip8 Posted January 18, 2009 #17 Share Posted January 18, 2009 Several people have mentioned it already but the souffles are to die for. They have chocolate but also one with orange (?) both are excellent. I also really enjoy the rice and tapiocia (sp?) puddings that are offered on the buffet at lunch time. Just like Mom used to make! Sorry, I have a sweet tooth!
