Deck - 9

Cabin # - 9290

Class – 1b

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Very quiet. It is a connecting suite, but that doesn't matter much on this ship since the doors are outside the cabin.

Balcony View -Beautiful, unobstructed view of the ocean. This is the last cabin on the "bump".

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal.

Was wind a problem? No.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin?

Any other comments? This cabin includes one upper berth and a convertible sofa bed.

Ship - Solstice

Deck - 7

Cabin # - 7258

Class – (I don't remember)

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) Quiet. Non connecting

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. No obstructions, life boat below so you can't look straight down - but otherwise great.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - oversize - this is the first one on the forward side of the hump - the "left" wall (closest to the front of the ship) was the same size as the rest of the cabins, but the "right" wall was about 3-4 feet longer (we think about 9 feet long.)

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? None

Any other comments? The cabin right next door - 7260 has an even bigger balcony. It's "left" wall was the same size as our "right" wall - about 9 feet. We think this second cabin from the front has the deepest balconies on the hump on all floors.

And - thanks for doing this. It was very helpful.

Ship - Equinox

Deck - 8

Cabin # - 8255

Class – 1A

Starboard or Port Side - Not sure, left side facing bow.

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) Quiet. Non connecting

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. No obstructions. The life boats below ended right before this cabin so you could look straight down into the water.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - oversize - there were three chairs on the balcony, two reclining chairs and one regular chair. There was also a table.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? N/A

Any specific problems with this cabin? None

Any other comments? This cabin was in the middle of the cabins with the oversized balconies. The cabin on the right had a smaller, but still oversized balcony and the cabin on the left has a larger oversized balcony.

Ship - Solstice

Deck - 11

Cabin # - 1504

Class – Aqua

Starboard or Port Side - Starboard

Bed near?(balcony or bath) – Bath with bed facing aft wall (heads towards the back of the ship)

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Quiet cabin, near the front with easy access to the relaxation lounge.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – We were able to see over the bridge extension so the bridge was not an issue; nice view straight out and could see down to the ship's wake.

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Normal with two chairs, foot rests and table.

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? NA

Any specific problems with this cabin? Only heard slight noise from the exercise area once late at night; seemed some equipment was being moved, maybe for cleaning the area.

Any other comments? I found the cabin tight spacewise. We could not fit our suitcase between the end of the bed and the wall; had to lift it up and over the bed. My preference would be to have the bed near the verandah to allow easier access within the cabin itself.

Deck - Penthouse (11)

Cabin # - 1661

Class – Concierge (C2)

Starboard or Port Side - Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Bath

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) –Pretty quiet cabin, even with housekeeper using cart parked in aft hallway across from door. One long wall is along hallway leading to aft suites, so only one neighbor wall.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Great view forward and to port, limited view aft because of steel bulkhead

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? - Iwould say approx 15 sq. ft. larger than standard, bumps out on aft end. (all cabins that are the last cabin on the side of the ship from deck 6 up appear to have this)

Was wind a problem? Not at all

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? None Noted

Any specific problems with this cabin? No, great cabin.

Any other comments?I would book this exact cabin again with no reservations. Sort of a long walk from the elevators, but I needed the exercise after dinner, that's for sure! The extra room on the balcony made a big difference, at least to me.

Deck - 11/Sky

Cabin # -1517

Class – AQ

Starboard or Port Side -Port

Bed near?(balcony or bath) –Balcony

Quiet Cabin (With comments on problems. Note if connecting. ) – Music noise overheard faintly from lower decks until about 0030 hours.

Balcony View - Give comments on view, noting if location of any obstructions was an issue. – Nice view of port side of bridge, 9th cabin from the first, if looking at Soltice, over the "E"

Balcony Size? Normal or oversized for class? -Normal size for this class

Was wind a problem? No

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? n/a

Any specific problems with this cabin? While watching a movie on the Movie Channel, Spanish music or the voice of a Spanish painter popped up every few minutes making it impossible to listen to the actual movie. No otehr specific problems with this cabin. I forgot to report this. The refrigerator does not keep the drinks very cold.

Any other comments?

The glass partition (under rail) of balcony #1521 (2 doors down) shattered one morning around 0900 hours. We received a voice message stating that glass had shattered above us, evidently a canned message sent to all balconies below or in the immediate vicinity. I found a piece of glass the size of a pea on our balcony. Cause of shattering, unknown.

White flecks of paint present all over the floor of our balcony. Shame to see this on such a beautiful ship. The rail is due for a good sanding down and revarnishing. The teak table could use it too.

Chairs were very comfortable. Bring a few clothes pins to hang bathing suits on hard fabric on the back of the chairs.

It was easy for the steward to open up the partition between our room verandah and that of 1515.

If you rotate the handle all the way down on the sliding glass door, it is very easy to open and close the door. I thought it was very hard to slide it until I was told about it. If you leave the balcony door open for just a moment, everything fogs up inside.

If you are looking for the secret staircase to get to the spa, Persian Gardens and relaxation room, go to the starboard side, just forward of the elevators.

The shower not only has a portable handle, and a great flow but has 5 jets that can be moved to spray from the waist down, to accomodate different heights.

There are no flowers in the bathroom, as shown in some photos.

Lighting is cozy and beds are very comfortable. The oval table is practical and not in the way.

There are plenty of hangars.

The room includes binoculars, blow dryer, an umbrella, a nice writing pad, expandible mirrow, frette (heavier material than for non AQ staterooms) robes. Some of the above items are removed on the last night. The 2 pairs of loofah slippers and bag they come in, facial mist, foot spray personalized stationery and 1 navy blue non woven material Celebrity bag may be taken home.

Look for storage and beach towels above the bed.

The fridge was stocked with a good assortment of wines, champagne, beer, soft drinks and a couple of bottles each of liquor. Unfortunately, these are not to be combined with the classic of premium package. The fridge is locked on the last night after it is counted.

Couch and chair are made of good quality simili leather. I didn't see any foot stool though.

Unable to order shore excursions from the TV. This feature would give the selections but would not allow to process through the end. Room service may be conveniently ordered from the TV. Some but not all the photos of the residents of the room taken were displayed on the TV.

No towel animals but the stateroom attendant made a nice design with my nightie and left very nice and different flavor chocolates at night.

GREAT JOB Ms. LibraryLady19! Thank you for compiling all this. It is very useful.

Any other comments? The first night we thought someone in the cabin next door was playing loud music. It was then apparent that every time the party band played in the Sky Observation Lounge (Deck 14) (at least every 2 days) that we could hear the music two decks below which could go on until 1-2 a.m. It carried from Deck 14 thro' Deck 12 (Spa and Fitness area) to us on Deck 11. We were offered ear plugs by Guest Services. Spoiled an otherwise fabulous holiday.

Any specific problems with this cabin? Not necessarily just this cabin, but it seemed that everytime someone slammed their cabin door, it would make my cabin door sound like someone just slammed into my door. It was very annoying!

Any other comments? According to the deck plans, it appears this cabin is larger, however, this is a drawing error and this cabin is not larger than the other AQ cabins.

How do you search the forum for a specific cabin number or view the spreadsheet?

Here is the link to the most recent spreadsheet update. Just click on the pdf to open the attachment (or I can send you an Excel version if you prefer). You can also search this thread for specific cabins by using the "search this thread" tool at the top right of each page.
