ABay22000 Posted January 25, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 25, 2009 we are staying at the Hilton Penn Station NJ the night before our crusie (EOS 3/19/2010) there will be 6 adults and we will probably take a cab. anyone know about how much the cost would be? is a cab the best way to get to the pier? thanks
megr1125 Posted January 25, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 25, 2009 yup..cab is best...although sometimes when hotels up there cal cabs, a car service comes...should be between 45-50 bucks...But for 6 you will need 2 cabs...i don't think you all will fit even if they sent a van cab.....not enough room for stuff... the hotel may be able to arrange something for you...generally hotels up there have companies they use for moving groups of people....i would give them a call.... Aoumd Posted January 25, 2009 #3 Share Posted January 25, 2009 Newark Penn Station is across the street from your hotel, and there's a taxi stand in the street between the station and hotel with many taxis at any time (same lanes that the Greyhound buses line up in, but further back). So you could probably grab two in a row from the taxi stand.
sddsddean Posted January 25, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 25, 2009 We are arriving at Newark station and after recommendations on CC have chosen to use http://www.blackexecutivecars.com/index.html . Don't know what they will be like, but several people have said they are good. They're charging us $45 to Cape Liberty in a car and do have vans, so ask for a quote.
