With the weather going down the tubes mid-week, cant wait to get to SJU on Friday and soak up some sun until sail away. Packing the sandals and shorts will not be half as much fun as wearing them!

I know how thats feels iam here at work and cait stop looking on CC:D i know i should be working :obut. i just cait wait tell this week-end i also have every thing pack and by the door ready to go.lol:), its so cold here right now and we got like 3-4 inches of snow.last night and its still snowing OMG! cait wait for sunshine!:D:D:D and the new and improved CARIBBEAN PRINCESS!!

You guys are all so lucky! Having traveled on the CB in December prior to the renovations, I wish I could see the new features / new ship! Hope you all have a wonderful vacation... I'll be suffering in the cold here in Toronto, wishing that I could be back in the Caribbean.... !

Boarding was delayed till after 5 pm due to ongoing work.

We got on at 6:10 pm and luggage arrived at 9:55

Capt bought everyone a glass of wine at dinner-of course most of us finished dinner before the 9pm announcement

New steak house not ready for apps. 2 weeks-set up cafe caribe area for temp steak house.

Casino opens mon afternoon.

Flat screens are in.

Internet in room

Int. cafe very nice

Mon is seafood with formal night

-have not heard OBC for delay

That really stinks that the steakhouse isn't ready. You say it is temporarily setup in Cafe Caribe? How is that affecting the seating for buffets? I know it can get crowded. I spoke to my family that is onboard with you and it turned out the OBC was only a rumor as you're aware. They spoke to someone at the desk and were told to write to customer relations once they are home. Thanks for the info, Mike. Enjoy the rest of your cruise.

We're bunking in the 700 real estate section of the emerald deck, do you know if the internet signal reaches back there or only central. In the frist days of wireless on the Princess ships, I used to ask the crew where the best uplink area was based on the signal upload....

I know what you mean...here I am again after looking at the ship's cam because I just want to go. No snow yet for the Delaware Valley but word is Tues into Wed will be dicey....just get it out of the way so I can fly out of PHL Friday morning!

When wifi was installed on the Grand Princess over a year ago, they had 8 hotspots located in the halls of each passenger deck. We had an aft cabin in the 700's and the hotspot was right outside of our cabin door. Great signal. I would assume they are installing the wifi in the same manner on the other ships.

No DVD Players, they are puting in Flat Screen TV's that are digital capable. I think you will eventually see Video On Demand on the ships......

It's too bad about the late embarkment and the steak house not being done yet. However, everything else sounds wonderful. Now I just have to wait until May. Please, no scuffmarks on the trim!:D
