RickEk Posted January 29, 2009 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Just an FYI, considering the recent conversations concerning Princess' previous coupon book offerings... seattle2000 Posted January 29, 2009 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2009 There are definitely several here that I would personally use (coffee cards, ice cream, photos, wine). Do you know if these show up in the cabin, or are mailed out?
RickEk Posted January 29, 2009 Author #3 Share Posted January 29, 2009 They will be available in the cabins!
khuff7 Posted January 29, 2009 #4 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Will they be in every category of cabins? I definitely will use several of them:)
h3rjp Posted January 29, 2009 #5 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Well you can't really complain if it's free! Might have swung me on the purchase of a coffee card and at least one photo! Shame there's no discount on the Soda Card.
TorontoTL Posted January 29, 2009 #6 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Wow, that's so much better than the old coupon book. The coffee card is a great deal, I wonder if the price on the card is going up to go along with the two for one deal on it?
can786 Posted January 29, 2009 #7 Share Posted January 29, 2009 The only thing that concerns me is whether the offering of 15 free minutes if you purchase an internet package means that they will no longer be offering the extra 30 free minutes if you purchase your package on the first day. If so, anyone who uses internet will be losing out. If so, very generous of Princess.

Good point Cathy, however, not every ship seemed to be doing the extra 30 mins if one signed up on the first day deal. I'll check it out when I'm on the Feb 8th sailing of the Emerald Princess. serene56 Posted January 29, 2009 #9 Share Posted January 29, 2009 $20.00 off port photo package? thats almost a giveaway. what about th 10.00 off for the embarkation photo? How much is it to begin with--wow. I would use a coffee card if it was buy 1 get 1 free-- especially when you read how it can be used for subsequent cruises. potchak Posted January 29, 2009 #11 Share Posted January 29, 2009 These are definitely better in the past. Although, I would imagine they might continue the 30 mins free on the first day of sailing for the internet packages, because these coupon books don't usually show up til the 2nd day, right? I can't remember when we got ours, but it seemed later.
jhannah Posted January 29, 2009 #12 Share Posted January 29, 2009 Yes, these offerings are much better. More of what I could use without having to lay down serious cash to take advantage of them.

sultan_sfo Posted January 29, 2009 #18 Share Posted January 29, 2009 This does not appear to replace the coupon book found in every cabin. This seems to replace the $240 promotion coupon given by TA.

SeattleCruiselover Posted January 30, 2009 #22 Share Posted January 30, 2009 I just checked with my TA - she has not heard of this and thinks nit is probably a specific TA promo thing. Ron I would be prone to agree. That is the one that is given out during "cruise week" promos....the ones that go along with reduced deposit. I don't think they are changing the pretty worthless ones that everyone gets.
rdsqrl Posted January 30, 2009 #23 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Anyone know how much this is per bottle,Heidsieck & Co. Monopole Blue Label Champagne? Anne Not much, about $30 give or take. I don't like it very much, but then I'm not a fan of Heidsieck champagnes in general -- I find them too, well, buttery, for lack of a better word. I like crisper wines. RickEk Posted January 30, 2009 Author #25 Share Posted January 30, 2009 Where did you see this announced - is it on Princess website? Ron I know someone who works for Princess... :p I just reread my post and realized I meant to say if NOT, very generous of Princess. That's what happens when I post too early in the morning! 'tis cool... I thought you were just being sarcastic  And yes, it does say that it is a "new Onboard Value Coupon book used in conjunction with Cruise Sales"... it replaces the old $120 book. So, no, apparently not everyone will be receiving this book... sigh. :(
