Scenic tours Antigua..

I posted this on the Antigua port of call board, but got no response so I am trying it here....

 

Has anyone used Scenic Tours Antigua? We are considering booking with them but would like some feedback first. Any info would be appreciated.

Don't know anything about that company, but whomever you end up using, make sure that they take you up to an area called Shirley Heights. It is the old British lookout post and the view of the water from there is breathtaking. At least 8 different shades of blue to green. It's the ultimate Caribbean travel poster view

You can go to tripadvisor.com and click on FORUMS. There will be a carib. board and you can narrow it to Antigua. Ask there. There are many destination experts that can help.

 

We did a ship excursion there like 15 years ago. But now know, after visiting 3 other times, you can have a cab take you to the points of interest. There are also many companies right at the dock. The one you mentioned might be there waiting to fill a tour.

I agree with michmike. The climb up to the top of the fort is not too hard. Last year there were many wild goats up there. They didn't come near us. You can watch the Jolly Roger tour come ashore with a bunch of drunk people from the ship. They only stay about 30 min. If you take a cab, you can stay all day. The fort is on the grounds of a resort. Be sure to go inside and look around.It is an amazing beach and not crowded at all. Also, it is easy to get a cab back to the ship. The hotel desk will call one for you. Also, look out for all the mongoose on Antigua. They are as plentiful as squirrles in the US.
