2sunny Posted February 25, 2009 #5 Share Posted February 25, 2009 :confused:What's the quickest and least expensive transfer from FLL to Port Everglades Cruise Terminals? Limo company or taxi? Thanks fro your advice. Take a taxi - cheapest and fastest! If you pay the cruise line you will have to wait for it to be full AND it will cost more. Have your passports ready to show to security as you enter the Port. Bon Voyage!

Krazy Kruizers Posted February 25, 2009 #7 Share Posted February 25, 2009 You do not want to walk from the airport to the cruise terminal. It is not a direct 2 miles -- and very busy highway!! We always take a taxi -- well worth it. As said -- have your your passports ready to show to security as you enter the port area.
jackinav Posted February 25, 2009 #8 Share Posted February 25, 2009 It's a HUGE port and I wouldn't even want to get out at the front gate and walk around it- especially on a hot day while carting suitcases ! I'd go with the taxi which will take you right to your ship . It's not very expensive and the only delay I've ever experienced is going through security . Rock Chick Posted February 25, 2009 #9 Share Posted February 25, 2009 What about the return trip from cruise ship to the airport? Is it easy to get a cab from the terminal? RCI want £16 (about $25) for the shuttle for 2 of us. I hadn't realised it was only a 2mile trip. Carol
sail7seas Posted February 25, 2009 #10 Share Posted February 25, 2009 It's more than two miles. Very close, indeed, but not literally two miles from ship to airline terminal.....whichever airline you are flying. The taxi ride is about 10 minutes depending upon traffic. Fare is about $12 plus tip.
Treven Posted February 25, 2009 #11 Share Posted February 25, 2009 Ditto, take a cab. I've never been asked for ID/passport at the security gate; the cab driver has been asked for ID, but I haven't. I've always had my passport out, just in case, but haven't ever been asked for it.
Mike C. Posted February 26, 2009 Author #12 Share Posted February 26, 2009  Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply. I think we were just kidding about walking, we are not that cheap or ambitious. It appears that taxi service will suit use perfectly.
