Wow, this is exciting!

I'm signed up to get these emails, but they never seem to come. Would you post the cruises on offer? Or just let me know if the one I'm interested in is on the list?

2927 Istanbul to Istanbul August 28th?

Ever hopeful!

That is all very nice. I have a different question though. While most cruise lines have substantially cut their fares, from what I know, despite claims to "specials", airfare to many destinations have actually gone up substantially in the last six months. Is this generally true, and if so, does anyone know why?

Often, airfare is a major component to cruise travel.

I'm usually a Seabourn sailor....they often have 125% single supplements, one of the reasons I've sailed with them....but I snagged one of these great deals, with a 125% single supplement to boot. I've looked at Silversea before, but couldn't get past the 175%, 200% single supplements. I'm really happy to be able to go back to the southern Caribbean!

Looking forward to trying Silversea, have heard wonderful things!

Thank you, Jaffa and Colonel Wes.

I called my TA and have received the revised price.

I appreciate your bringing this to my attention.

Interesting - as the bottom of that mail states this discount applies only to new bookings and not to cancelled and rebooked ones. That seemed like a very silly condition.

I got some quotes from my TA today on 3 of these cruises. The single supplements were only 125% which is great but the per diem rate was A$630, A$612 and A$601 for a Vista suite...and paying 12 months in advance!!

This is not a bargain for me. The weak Aussie dollar is making it very difficult for me to travel, especially when I have to buy an airfare as well.

Cheers

Yes! I was interested in the Arctic and SilveSeas wants $3,800 pp for Air which does include overnights in Copenhagen and transfers...

yes, with that prices, they´ve convinced me. I´ve booked on the Silver Wind sailing from Mahe on the 13th december. AND.....ridiculous single supplement for this (about 300 euros). Dream holidays still 10 months to go, but I am dreaming with it

Pristine place, almost private yacht, isolation and peace and a heavenly experience. I suppose my suite 445 will not be that good, but I am looking forward to it. Cruised on Seabourn and Le Ponant (in fact my favourite cruise line) and I´ve loved it.

Oh wow, we want to do this cruise to see the Tortoises but can not travel in December....But, I thought the airfare could be as much as $5K (US) to get to such a remote place off of Africa?

I think so, I suppose...no pirates. Just booked the fare with Emirates from Paris with a stop in Dubai at 700 euros return, which I think it´s pretty good. Schedules are just perfect. It takes 7 hours to Dubai, then 4h to Seychelles. Not bad. It allows upgrades which is something I will be considering in case they launch good offers. I just enjoy stopovers in longhaul. It allows me to stretch my legs a little bit. Anyway, I have been able to choose the best seats.

Thanks dusababy. I am glad to know the cabin will be just fine too.

We are first time Silversea cruisers Lisbon to Monte Carlo. Any advice on companies to use for shore excursions (Cannes, Malaga, Barcelona, and Livorno to Florence)? Thanks

I thought they were all inclusive? I guess just in the Antarctic and Arctic.
