How many Diamond members live close to a RCCL port?

We would drive 5 hours from Dallas, TX to Galveston. I wish they would put a ship year round there. We typically cruise during the time when they don't have a ship in Galveston, so we end up flying to board.

Galveston is the only port for us within driving distance. We are Diamond Plus and most of our cruise credts come from ports we've had to fly to.

I live 35 minutes from Port Canaveral, but I don't cruise as often as I could because we also do a lot of land vacations too as I like to go to different places every time. I cruise for the ports, while DH cruises for the ships. Usually I win though, that is we don't cruise as much.

 

If I lived far from the ports or had to fly, I would probably cruise just the same.

We live 10 min from the Black Falcon pier in Boston. I do try to book a few here and there out of Boston, but not a lot to choose from. We have decided that we will no longer fly to the west coast for any cruise. The delays and problems with the small confined seats has turned us off from flying. If we can't be there in 2 to 2 1/2 hours by flying, we won't be going. So our cruising venues may be limited.

I live an hour and a half drive from Baltimore (Grandeur) and about a three hour drive from Norfolk.

We live in Somerville, Ma. which is about 6 miles away from the Black Falcon Terminal in Boston. I cannot tell you how nice it is to be able to load the taxi at our house and be at the ship in less than 10 minutes...lovely!!! Now...if I can just figure out how to buy a second place in Fort Lauderdale...LOL. :D

and live about 1 hr from Cape Liberty, but only sailed out of there once. May 9 to Bermuda will be my second. All of the other cruises have been out of FLL, Miami, or San Juan.

1 hr from Bayonne but the time of year we can cruise are usually very high out of NY or NJ. We are sailing in July out of Bayonne but paying a great deal for balcony - 2100 each!! But only week we can go. There are also very limited cruises out of NJ. But it beats flying which I hate.

1.5 Hours from FLL, 2 hrs. from Miami and Port Canaveral and 3 hrs. from Tampa.

We are in South Carolina, a 7 hour drive from my Brother's home near Daytong Beach, FL. We drive down and visit with him and my Mom for awhile and then on to a cruise.

We are so fortunate to be in Florida and save on airfares. We would not be able to do the amount of cruises a year we do. We also cut down on balconies to inside/OV to help pay for more cruises a year. We are very fortunate,,,hope I can say that when we both retire shortly:eek:
