What type of attire do i need to plan for?

First time cruisers. My husband, 8yr old and I will be on Carnival Dream 10/15/09. want to pack least as possible what do I need to bring. Any suggestions will help.

Beach vacation attire for days will be fine---shorts, flip-flops, bathing suits, etc.... it will be summer weather.

You'll be fine with capris, slacks, golf shirts, for casual dinners. "Elegant" is nicer than "everyday" wear...

Just think summer casual for the day and evening.Something dressier for Cruise Elegant nights in the dining room.Carnival is the more casual and laid back of the lines.

I think that itinerary will be in the Med....so plan for temps between 45-65 degrees Fahrenheit. Cool, breezy...tho you may have some warm days in port.

 

It can also rain and be very chilly. We were there in Oct. 08 and that is what we experienced.

 

You will be glad for a jacket and hat.
