does anyone have a link or list of medications available at the pharmacy? Are things equivalent to the US? ie Tylenol = Tylenol

The pharmacist is a gal from Louisiana...everything is in English

 

I just got 800mg Ibuprofen for $10 (50 tabs)

Also picked up Amoxicyllin. $8 for 30 caps. and tubes of Retin A (.05) for $8.

Medications

 

Sort of: most medications use the "generic" term:

Tylenol is Acetaminophen, simple

 

or they use a European or Spanish term.

 

As to dosage: Ibu at 800mg is the max dosage!

That is four regular USA tablets in one pill!

 

Good thread and I will try and answer questions: I know many meds are a bit less costly in Mexico but not all.

I too bought 800mg. Ibruprofen there too for a very reasonable amount. They have signs in English, the ladies are very helpful but busy. Some product is OTC but script to us in the USA like hydrocortisone. Just ask and they will quote a price. Cash is readily accepted. I did not see a sign about credit cards. The store is tiny.
