So Freedom will be the first to dock there? & Oasis soon after?

 

December 3rd baby!

 

Actually, there are little things to do...pressure wash the pier and finish hanging the ladders. They stopped working 24 hour shifts a few days ago, so we had a little, itty bit of room.

There will be no need to tender anymore now that the pier is completed.

Mimikens, I am sure just the sight of that is enough for you...but congratulations anyway. I can only imagine the relief and feeling of satisfaction you have right now.

 

Oh and a deep thank you for your progress reports to us. Should you find yourself in the Miami area, I would love to buy you the libation of your choice.

Just got back from a 10 day cruise yesterday. The pier is not ready. I heard that it will not be ready for the first Oasis visit.

We get to go to Labadee in April 2010 in the Indy for the first time since the dock was completed and then again in Dec on the Inaugural of the Allure so finally we can see the new arranged beach. Wonder if they will be still selling all the beautiful butterflies I collect each time I come to Labadee. This will help the ecomomy for the islanders. It is such a shame about the earthquake and the people still living in unbearable conditions.

Here are a couple pictures I took while on Navigator in Labadee on Feb. 1. These are the supplies brought for the Haiti Relief effort by RC. They did a fantastic job, IMHO.

I went to Labadee on Feb 14....it was my first time there and everything was easy with the Pier.

 

Unfortunaly, it was a very miserable day...windy, cloudy pourring rain all day and about 22C, it could not be worst than that! Therefore, we where not able to enjoy the beach, in fact, only a few people went out the ship with a rain poncho, including us....hope will go back on a sunny day!

 

Anyone whad bad weather experience over there? Or did it only happen on February 14, 2010??! ;)
