makes me feel quite safe. but they are life boats correct? Tenders are the ferry boats you take to get to shore. I don't imagine they use them for this?

these will be used as lifeboats instead of tenders....the oasis will dock in the ports she visits and will not tender passengers.

You can see in the picture it's listed as a 372 person capacity. Compare that to 112 +/- on ships I've been on (although some were listed as 150 or so).

They could have saved some money. Instead of buying new lifeboats, go ahead and attached the Soveriegn, Majesty and Monarch to the side of the Oasis.

Haven't you heard, they are doing their own snorking tours using the lifeboats. Only for Suite pax. They will have lobster for lunch in the hidden kitchen. The cook will be Paris Hilton. :D:rolleyes:

WOW - that is a big lifeboat. I'm VERY excited to hear the Oasis is actually docking in it's ports (probably why there aren't very many stops... :D - you need one big dock!!). Every time I see some new photo - it makes the ship seem more real...:rolleyes:

That and probably most of the reason, it's a destination unto itself. They need the passengers to spend money on board to help pay for it. Only 3 ports! 4 days of spending...kaching

My guess is they have to have them this big because of the sheer number of people on board these monster ships.
